Rock the Valley – Battle of the Bands returns for its second season! Amidst the pandemic, Valley Cultural Foundation has overcome the challenges and is moving forward.
This annual event provides up-and-coming musicians an opportunity to showcase their talents by playing original music for their audience while contributing to the cultural and social amenity of the music community. This year, in this pandemic culture, VCF has opened the competition to include solo performances.
It is the goal of the Valley Cultural Foundation to promote live music through quality musical programs. We encourage applicants regardless of age, ability, and musical genre to submit a video for this year’s online virtual competition. Rock the Valley is committed to acknowledge the fullest diversity of applicants and promote equality of opportunity for every participant. We feel that it is for the well-being of the community to promote this event in the community and beyond. Participants can enter from anywhere, but if we can present a live final performance, bands must be able to attend and make it to the Los Angeles area for the performance.
As a leader in promoting and supporting up-and-coming artists, Valley Cultural Foundation will promote the participating bands on a multitude of social platforms.
Registration started on November 1, 2020, but it’s not too late to submit your music before midnight, December 15th, 2020.
The music must be original – no cover songs are allowed. The lyrics must be family-friendly; obscene subject matter, use of profanity, or anything of a suggestive nature will not be considered. Submissions must be between three (3) and five (5) minutes in length.
