Music’s Biggest Night

Jon Batiste photo

The 64th annual Grammy Awards took place this past Sunday night after being delayed multiple times due to the pandemic. The show was held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas for the first time and Trevor Noah returned as the host. A large majority of the awards were presented at the premiere ceremony before the live telecast. Among the talented winners Jon Batiste really came out on top winning the most awards with five. Silk Sonic followed with four trophies including Record of the Year, and 19-year-old pop sensation Olivia Rodrigo won three, including Best New Artist and Best Pop Vocal Album. There were of course several live performances throughout the evening, including performances by Olivia Rodrigo, BTS, Lil Nas X, Silk Sonic, Billie Eilish, J Balvin, Carrie Underwood, and Lady Gaga. The show also went on to remember Taylor Hawkins the drummer for the Foo Fighters who died in late March.

Below you will find the full list of winners for the 2021 Grammy Awards.
