In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Getty Center, the Getty Trust along with a diverse group of community partners are launching free outdoor art festivals in neighborhoods across Los Angeles County from May 14 to August 28.

With 10 free outdoor events throughout the summer months, this is sure to be a fun filled opportunity for those interested in the Arts and community programming. Events will span across various cities in Los Angeles such as Inglewood, Koreatown, Reseda, Crenshaw, and more, and each festival will be unique to its city and community members.

Celebrating the culture and arts of the participating communities is essential to a successful program therefor over a dozen neighborhood nonprofits and cultural organizations are partnering with Getty to organize the festivals. Each event will have musical performances, food trucks, activities and workshops, immersive art displays, vendors, and so much more.

The festivals are being held to celebrate the cultural richness of the communities as well as to say “thank you” to Los Angeles for 25 years of supporting the Getty Center. Once again, these events are free of charge and no reservation is required. The Arts are a vital part of every community and we encourage everyone to take advantage of these wonderful community programs throughout the summer to ensure they are brought back in the future.
