With one of the most spectacular fireworks displays in Southern California, Councilmember Bob Blumenfield’s July 4th Extravaganza delights with a free concert and 20-minute spectacular fireworks display and accommodates up to 40,000 people in the park. Thousands more tune in to view and listen from neighboring residences and community areas. There are over 15 food trucks on hand along with arts and crafts vendors and local businesses promoting and selling their goods. The event takes place on July 4th of each year from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Come early!
Parking fees are a donation to Valley Cultural Foundation and allow us to continue our longstanding tradition of bringing music and the arts to our West Valley.
General admission is FREE, but consider the VIP treatment!
Strange Days – A Tribute to The Doors
Strange Days is a worldwide touring Doors concert experience. Formed and based in Los Angeles, California, Strange Days captures the magic and the mystery of The Doors in their prime.
By combining vintage instruments with the latest technology, Strange Days offers both an authentic on-stage look and an unmistakable studio album sound. The result is truly a one-of-a-kind show that had thrilled audiences around the world.
Strange Days has had the honor of having Doors guitarist Robby Krieger join them onstage numerus times. Rarely, if ever, Do tribute artists get to play with the actual legends to which they pay homages.

What to Know
Safety Guidelines
We are all looking forward to another fantastic July 4th at Warner Park!
In continuing efforts to keep you and your family safe, and at the request of the Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Cultural Foundation, along with the Department of Recreation and Parks, the Los Angeles Fire Department, in continuing efforts to keep you and your family safe, and at the request of the Los Angeles Police Department, Valley Cultural Foundation, along with the Department of Recreation and Parks, the Los Angeles Fire Department, and Councilmember Bob Blumenfield, will continue with the additional safety and security measures implemented last year.
Once again, we will be securing the park area itself; there will be five designated points of entry.
The following three street sections will be closed to the public beginning 1:00 a.m. on Friday, July 4th:
- Califa St between Topanga Canyon Blvd and Owensmouth Ave
- Marylee St between Topanga Canyon Blvd and Owensmouth Ave
- Owensmouth Ave from Marylee St to Califa St
There will be a public access walkway between the parking structures leading from the Marriott Hotel. This walkway will close at approximately 7:45 p.m. on the 4th and not reopen until approximately 10:30 p.m.
Other defined gate entrances will be located at these four locations:
- Topanga Canyon Blvd and Califa St
- Topanga Canyon Blvd and Marylee St
- Marylee St and Owensmouth Ave
- Owensmouth Ave and Califa St
Once the fireworks show is complete at approximately 9:25 p.m., these and other gates will be made available for exiting the park. Officers from LAPD and VCF’s hired security teams will always be stationed at each of these gates.
Please, DO NOT bring any of the following items into or near park grounds:
- Smoking and/or vaping devices
- Barbeques, including gas, charcoal or butane
- Alcoholic beverages of any type
- Illegal drugs
- Fireworks, including sparklers
- Dangerous weapons, including:
- Guns and stun guns
- Sharp objects, including: kitchen knives, spikes, or ground stakes
- Mace and/or chemical irritants
- Glass bottles
- Combustible liquids
- Laser-pointing devices
Additionally, backpacks, purses, coolers, or any other types of concealed storage, including your pockets or other items of clothing, are subject to search by the Los Angeles Police Department and/or Valley Cultural Foundation’s hired security officers. This may include searching for your person.
Finally, if you see something out of place or suspicious, please contact a member of the police department and/or VCF’s security officers.
Gates open at 3:00 p.m. and event parking opens at 3:00 p.m. We will have fourteen food trucks, thirty different vendors, and plenty of fun things for the whole family to do as we celebrate the birth of our country.
Prepare yourself for an electrifying live concert featuring the incredible music of Strange Days – A Tribute to the Doors! Immerse yourself in the magic of live music, dance the night away, and top it all off with a dazzling fireworks display. It’s sure to be a celebration you’ll never forget! Fireworks will go off at 9:00 p.m. and will last for twenty minutes.

Parking around the park is free when available. However, parking for the July 4th Extravaganza in the structures located on Califa Street is $25.00 (cash only). All parking fees are considered donations to Valley Cultural Foundation. Please note:
- For the July 4th Extravaganza, entrance to the parking structure will be designated by signage on Oxnard and Owensmouth. Event parking begins at 3:00 p.m. If you arrive earlier, you will need to pull a ticket to enter in the parking facility and pay full price when you leave.
- Loitering is not allowed in parking structure.
- Trespassing is prohibited.
Etiquette
For your comfort, you may bring blankets, low chairs (under 3′ height), tarps and pillows. Canopies, umbrellas or EZ-ups are permitted UNTIL the concert starts. Once the announcements begin, you must take these items down. Any items left unattended will be considered “abandoned” and removed from their location; you must remain with your belongings at all times. You may NOT use stakes to keep your blankets in place as they are a safety hazard.
There are to be no grills or open flames of any kind in the park. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted and we encourage you to visit our food court on the west end for more options. Please keep animals tethered and respect your neighbors by being mindful of your space and the view of others.
