Vahe
Christine Hovhan
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, in 1980, Vahe started his love and passion for music from an early age by performing at different state productions and competitions. His love for classical and traditional Armenian music evolved as he entered to study in a monastery to become a priest, but later on, decided to leave the church to study classical vocals in Yerevan’s state conservatory. In early 2003 he moved to Los Angeles, California, where he started actively performing and recording albums, giving concerts at such places as Ford Theater and Barnsdale Arts Center. His repertoire also includes interpretations of Western jazz and pop music along with traditional Armenian and classical songs with unique and fresh perspectives and arrangements.
Christine Hovhan is an Armenian folk singer/songwriter born in California. She studied guitar and music with Armen Movsisyan and master classes with Anahit Nersisyan, Ida Aghakhanyan, and Mkhitar Kettsyan.
