Join us at Van Nuys/Sherman Oaks Rec Center for our FREE Concert in the Park with musical artists The Silver and Matt Lomeo!
The Silver is an L.A.-based showcase band that has been honing their craft for years. Their unique originals are multi-genre and include four-part harmonies. The Silver is currently recording their first album. This group is composed of five members including a lead guitar/vocalist, keyboard /vocalist, rhythm guitar/sax/harmonica/vocalist, and a bass guitar/vocalist.
Singer/harmonica player/songwriter Matt Lomeo found a love for the Blues early in life, and became the youngest artist ever invited to perform at a Woodstock Festival at the age of ten in 1999. After stints in New York City as a college student and Syracuse, NY as host of the historic Sunday Night Blues radio broadcast, Matt enjoyed a two-year residency at Club Handy on World-Famous Beale Street in Memphis, TN before settling in Los Angeles.
For the past few years, Lomeo has hosted the weekly jam night at Ireland’s 32 Pub, one of the premier roots music sessions in Southern California. In 2022, he added his monthly “Hollywood Hayride” at the Maui Sugar Mill Saloon to his list of regular gigs. Matt’s truest voice is articulated through his songs. His first all-original album, When You Call, produced by Grammy-nominee Terry Wilson, was released in the summer 2022 to international acclaim. In 2023, Matt and his band reached the semifinal round of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN, placing among the top 27 bands to compete worldwide. He also became a faculty member in the vocal department at the Los Angeles College of Music. Matt’s second all-original effort is forthcoming late 2023.
