Green Initiative

Valley Cultural Center (VCC) will celebrate its 35th Anniversary season of Concerts in the Park by sustaining the arts and being a good steward to the environment and the park we all enjoy. Concerts in the Park will now be known as Concerts on the Green.

VCC plans to provide green information at all of its concerts by hosting a first ever, “Green Village”, a separate area in the park sporting a variety of eco-friendly companies, who will provide information on how to reduce our carbon footprint.

Each of the twelve concerts will focus on a different type of green technology, with the respective company providing a special offer to all attendees.

VCC is also doing its part by printing our 104-page color Concert Program on recycled paper, using soy-based inks and using a chemical free process for plating. We also plan to offer on-site recycling stations throughout the park for cans, bottles and paper goods sold by our vendors.

We are also pleased to announce a new edition to our Concert Program and website called, “VCC Marketplace. “VCC Marketplace” will become a resource guide for Valley non-profit organizations, retail stores, service companies and local restaurants. “VCC Marketplace” will also be available in the printed version of the Concerts & Movies Program.

We are truly excited to celebrate our 35th Season by focusing on our environment. We hope you will join us in this effort to draw awareness to this great need and take advantage of a wonderful opportunity to reach thousands of people on a weekly basis.
