Green Initiative

The Valley Cultural Center (VCC) will celebrate its 35th Anniversary season of Concerts in the Park by sustaining the arts and being a good steward to the environment and the park we all enjoy.  To support that goal, Concerts in the Park will now be known as Concerts on the Green.

Additionally, the VCC will provide green information at all of its concerts by hosting a first ever “Green Village.” This is a separate area in the park that features a variety of eco-friendly companies who provide information on how to reduce our carbon footprint.

Each of our twelve concerts will focus on a different green technology, with the respective company providing a special offer to all attendees.

The VCC is also doing its part by printing our Concert Program on recycled paper, using soy-based inks and a chemical free process for plating. We will also offer on-site recycling stations throughout the park for cans, bottles and paper goods sold by our vendors.
