Scholarships & Awards

Sign up for the 2010 Music Competition!
Each year, The Valley Cultural Center is proud to award a variety of performing and visual arts scholarships to emerging artists in the San Fernando Valley. Music Scholarships promote excellence in music to youth ages 12 to 18 in solo horn, guitar, keyboard, vocal, violin and most promising student.
The Music competition takes place in March and is open to Jr. High and High School students ages 12-18. The students submit an audio audition that is screened by a panel of Valley Cultural judges and finalists are chosen to perform live in front of a panel of judges who determine winners in each category. In addition to the cash awards and matching scholarships available at the Idyllwild Summer School of Music, the winners are asked to perform at a Concert in the Park and at a Monday Morning Children’s Concert at the Madrid Theatre in Canoga Park.
Some awards are matched with a scholarship to Idyllwild Summer School of Music & the Arts. Download the flyer.
